I think I mentioned that I am not very good at photography. However, I was outside looking at the feeders last month and this appeared. I went inside and pulled out my old camera. Here it is. Somehow, the rain stopped for a day and this beautiful sight appeared.
After working for 33 years in Washington, D. C., I retired to the country in September 2003, where I discovered birds.
I knew there were eagles here when I arrived. When I did my walk-through for the new home, a bald eagle passed by the back of the house at deck level.
I'm no expert about birds. I have a little PA. field guide and the National Geographic field guide. What you will read here is what I have observed over the past several years. Unless specifically noted, the images are taken from my yard, driveway, or deck.
